The customer’s swinging gate suffered a mechanical failure in one of the opener’s retracting robot arms.
Our Solution:
The offending arm had a retracting cable that became frayed and tangled up. We removed the cable, cleaned and oiled the spool, gears, and articulations of the arm, and then installed and spooled up a new one. After a few rounds of testing, we declared the operation a success and advised Mr. Corren to pay more attention to his gate arms going forward.
